Prius Receiver Hitch |

This is an excellent product and I'm going to get a lot of use out of it. I could have had it on in 30 minutes if the instructions had a pattern of how big to cut the hole in the driver's side plastic protection plate. I wrestled getting the second bolt out of the driver tow hanger which had too much plastic in front of it. When I started bolting the hitch up on the driver side I saw I needed a bigger hole than I had cut. If I had done that to begin with I would have been done much sooner.
I love the hitch though. Don't get me wrong. I knew I had to cut some of the plastic plate out. I should have measured the top of the hitch that bolts up and I would have seen that if I have to cut a hole that big let's do it first then I can get to that one bolt and it's a piece of cake.
Please consider making this adjustment in the instructions for the 2004-2009 hitches. It's a great custom product.

I was able to install the receiver hitch in a couple of hours one sunny afternoon. I did have to make some modifications to a plastic covering on the rear drivers side using a utility knife to remove a slot open enough for the bracket to fit. The holes aligned perfectly! Thank you!

Great product now that summers here! The hitch is so useful because there's a bunch of different things we can attach onto it-bike racks, cargo boxes, ski racks, whatever! Gotta love it!
